By becoming a contestant of Berjaya Hotels & Resorts Love Me Do sponsored wedding contest you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of the details below, you must not sign up as a contestant for this contest. Berjaya Hotels & Resorts may be represented as ("BHR", "We", "Us" or "Our") in this article.

"Contestant" shall mean a couple who have met the participation criteria set out in Section 2.1 herein, and where the context requires, either of them.

1. Introduction

1.1 By becoming a contestant of BHR Love Me Do sponsored wedding contest you will be able to access most areas of this website after registering with us your name, age, NRIC and other relevant personal information.

1.2 BHR holds the right to keep and use your profile information for any future marketing or promotional campaigns or exchange or disclose the same to third parties.

2. Participation, our rights and your privileges

2.1 To participate in BHR Love Me Do sponsored wedding contest, you must meet the following criteria;

• The couple or either one of them must be a Malaysian or Singaporean citizen(s).
• You (i) must be a legally married couple **(e.g. registered your marriage in Malaysia between January 2007 and to date) OR if you have yet to register your wedding and are selected as a winning couple, you must register your marriage before the wedding reception date on 23 April 2009; AND (ii) have not held a wedding reception.
• Is not an employee of Berjaya Group of Companies, Integricity Corporation, official sponsors, media partners and members of their immediate families.

2.2 The BHR Love Me Do sponsored wedding contest has several phases; each will have its own start dates and cut off dates. In Phase 1, all contestants may register and submit their entries starting October 14, 2008 at 8am MYT. All entries must be received no later than November 23, 2008 at 6pm MYT. In Phase 2, selected couples from Phase 1 will capture and upload their videos on YouTube starting November 28, 2008 8am MYT. All videos must be uploaded no later than December 10, 2008 6pm MYT. In Phase 3, the shortlisted couples will blog about their one month experience of exciting Berjaya events including a fully sponsored photo shoot. This starts from January 15, 2009 8am MYT. You may upload blog entries all the way up to February 15, 2009 at 6pm.

2.3 BHR will only notify couples who are shortlisted for subsequent phases of the contest. Notification will be done via email, phone call or snail mail. We encourage you to check this website from time to time to keep yourself updated.

2.4 Each registration is for one couple only. You must not provide, disclose or share your user name and password with any person nor with multiple users on the network.

2.5 You must provide current, accurate, truthful and complete information about yourself during the registration process and update such information when required.

2.6 BHR holds the right to suspend or terminate your registration immediately or bar you from participating in the contest further at BHR's discretion for any reason whatsoever, including if there is a breach of any of the terms and conditions and privacy terms stated on this website or if BHR has reason to believe that the information you have provided is not current, inaccurate, incomplete, false or misleading.

2.7 All contestants must agree and attend all promotions, marketing and publicity related events organized by BHR throughout the duration of the contest.

2.8 The seven finalists must be committed to their individual couple blog assigned to them. Finalists will be required to blog on four mandatory events; gown fitting and first gathering, poolside dinner for 2, photo shoot at Berjaya Hills and Berjaya Times Square and at the hi-tea at The Loaf. The four mandatory posts must be written and delivered for checking within 48 hours after the event. Couples are encouraged to write additional blog posts and links to personal blogs are permitted.

2.9 You must not attend or agree to photo shoots, interviews or any other media/publicity activities related to this contest, which are not organized or sanctioned by BHR. If any media or independent photographer or writer approaches you for such photo shoots, interviews or any other related media activities related to this contest, you must not consent unless otherwise first approved by BHR. If you are found accepting direct requests, your participation will be terminated and/or legal action may be taken.

2.10 The winning couple will automatically be appointed as BHR Ambassadors for a period of one year from May 2009 - May 2010. The privileged Ambassadors will take part in all Corporate Social Responsibility Programmes hosted by BHR. They will also participate in all other BHR marketing, advertising or promotional programmes as requested. Ambassadors must consent to have their photos or videos taken as part of being the face of BHR appearing in any/all promotional related projects; all the above with no monetary returns.

2.11 Copyright of all pictures and videos taken by BHR's authorized photographers or media or participating sponsors belong to BHR absolutely and BHR is entitled to use them for publicity purposes at BHR's discretion.

2.12 BHR has the right to request you to produce your certificate of marriage as proof of registration. All contestants may be subject to a background check at BHR's discretion and agree to sign any further documents requested in that regard. If, in the opinion of BHR, any negative, defamatory, false or misleading information is discovered either during the course of the background checks or otherwise with respect to the contestant in question then, in the sole discretion of BHR, that contestant may be disqualified and will not be allowed to participate further in the contest.

3. Prizes

3.1 A winning couple will be selected from all eligible couple contestants. The winning couple will be awarded a sponsored wedding package for a beach wedding reception at the Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort on April 23, 2009 for a total of 60 guests only, including the couple. BHR does not allow any addition to the number of guests.

3.2 The winning couple cannot change the date or venue of the wedding reception, however BHR reserves the right to change the date or venue of the wedding reception if matters arise. BHR will notify the couple in the event of a reschedule.

3.3 BHR will bear all food & beverage expenses treating the couple and their guests at Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort. The menu will be solely decided by BHR. Other expenses such as extra room stay, upgrade of menu, etc. will be at the couple's own cost.

3.4 The prize is not transferable or refundable for monies. BHR reserves the right to change and substitute any participating sponsor of the wedding giveaway package or any item comprised in the sponsored wedding package with another sponsor or item of comparable value.

3.5 The winner must accept the prize within seven (7) days of the announcement of the prize, failing which, the prize will be forfeited and the 2nd runner up will receive the prize. The winning couple must sign a release or any other document issued by BHR, otherwise they will be disqualified and will not be allowed to participate further.

3.6 The winning couple must be legally married (e.g. registered) prior to the wedding reception date or on the wedding reception date which is 23 April 2009. Couples must hold and attend the wedding reception on 23 April 2009 at Berjaya Langkawi Beach & Spa Resort.

3.7 If (i) the winning couple fails to register their marriage by the wedding receipt date; OR (ii) the winning couple or either one of them fails to or demonstrates an intent not to hold and attend the wedding reception for any reason whatsoever, the prize to the winning couple will be forfeited in whole and BHR may at its discretion award the prize to the next runner up.

3.8 BHR is not responsible for (i) the performance of and/or the services rendered by its participating sponsors, or (ii) the sponsored items of the wedding giveaway package. In this regard, BHR is not responsible in the event any sponsored item is damaged, undelivered, delivered late or is not up to the expectations of the winning couple.

4. Contestants Conduct

4.1 You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from this website any material that:

• is threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, seditious, offensive, pornographic, abusive, liable to incite racial hatred, discriminatory, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, in breach of privacy or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience
• is illegal material without necessary licenses and/or approvals
• constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise be contrary to the law of or infringe the rights of any third party, in Malaysia or any other country in the world
• is technically harmful (including, without limitation, computer viruses, logic bombs, Trojan horses, worms, harmful components, corrupted data or other malicious software or harmful data)

4.2 BHR may disqualify a contestant and/or remove any entry if any material posted to the website is deemed to be in breach of Section 4.1.

4.3 You may not misuse the website (including, without limitation, by hacking or 'phishing')

4.4 Your BHR Love Me Do sponsored wedding contest blog and/or video will be moderated by BHR representatives and Integricity Corporation who reserves the right to exercise editorial control over all posted content. By uploading a blog post, comment or video on this website, you understand and agree that your entry may appear in its original form, may be edited or removed altogether based on our discretion. The moderator may also include information about, and links to, other BHR content or information that may be of interest to you and are related to the topic of the blog and/or video.

4.5 Comments, opinions, video snippets uploaded on this website are expressions of each individual contestant's pre-wedding journey for the purpose of this contest. The views expressed by the individual contestants do not represent the views of BHR, its management or employees. BHR is not responsible for and disclaims all liability in the contents posted.

4.6 All blog, comment or video uploads become the property of BHR and will not be returned to you.

4.7 By signing up as a contestant, you brand an unlimited, irrevocable and perpetual license to BHR, its related corporations and affiliates to use all materials posted and uploaded by you on the website, at BHR's discretion, including the right to copy, distribute, publicly perform, create derivative works, publish, translate, modify, reproduce and display all entry materials (in whole and in part) worldwide in any and all media (now known or later developed), without further compensation to the contestants.

5. Viewers and Voters

5.1 If you are just peeking into this website, you are permitted to print or download extracts from this website for personal use only on the following basis:

• No text or graphics on this website are modified in any way
• No graphics on this website are used separately from accompanying texts
• Any of BHR copyright and trademark notices must appear in all copies

5.2 If you are voting either via the website, you are allowed to enter ten votes for each phase of voting.

5.3 In Phase 2 of the competition, voters may view uploaded videos by shortlisted couples from Phase 1. Voters can start voting from December 16, 2008 at 9am MYT all the way up to January 11, 2009 6pm MYT. Any votes after January 11, 2009 6pm MYT will not be accepted.

5.4 In Phase 3 of the competition, voters may start voting for their favourite couple based on their blog entries. This round of voting will start from January 22, 2009 9am MYT and ending on February 23, 2009 at 6pm MYT.

5.5 The last round of voting which will happen in Phase 4 will allow voters to determine the winning couple based on their votes. The last round of voting will start from February 27, 2009 at 9am MYT for a period of one week ending on March 5, 2009 at 6pm MYT.

6. Service Access

6.1 While we endeavor to ensure that this website is available 24 hours a day, we will not be liable if for any reason (e.g. tornado, earthquake, power cut, etc.) this website is unavailable at any time or for any period of day.

6.2 Access to this website may be suspended temporarily and without notice in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair or for any other reasons beyond our control.

7. Disclaimer

7.1 BHR does not warrant the accuracy and completeness of the material on this website. We may make changes to the material on this website at any time without notice.

7.2 The information on this website is provided "as is". Unless required by applicable law and except to the extent that this disclaimer (or part) is invalid, we do not make any warranty of any kind, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a purpose in relation to the accuracy, reliability, completeness or content of the pages. The information contained in this website may include technical inaccuracies or typographical errors.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

8.1 You acknowledge that copyright and other intellectual property rights to all materials in this website, including codes, text, pictures, videos, logos and images, belong to BHR or the rightful owners and you shall not use the same without the prior written permission of BHR or the rightful owners.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

9.1 BHR may from time to time at its sole discretion, modify, amend and vary the terms and conditions herein without any notice and without any liability to you or any third party.

10. Final Decision of BHR

10.1 By participating in this contest, you agree that all decisions made by BHR for all matters relating to this contest, including the selection of shortlisted couples and the winning couple are final and you agree to be bound by such decisions.
